The EASIEST way to cut a pineapple!

Pineapple is one hundred percent, no question, my favorite fruit. As much as I love other fruits, there isn't any other that even comes close to the delicious tangy sweetness of a pineapple, in my opinion. Canned pineapple is okay, but it is barely in the same league as fresh pineapple. There is only one big flaw to having it fresh... removing the fruit from the spiky, tough exterior.

In the past, I always made Paul cut up pineapples for me. He would cut off the top, then work his way around the pineapple, cutting off the outside. It was easy for me, but a pain in the butt for him.

Imagine my joy when we were gifted a Rosle Pineapple Slicer. I was slightly intimidated at first, but when I finally used it I was THRILLED. Just to clarify, I am not being paid for this product review. I have been using this product for years and have come to the realization that no kitchen is complete without one :)

Here is the extremely easy process in pictures.

Begin by chopping off the top of the pineapple.

Next, line your pineapple slicer up with the core of the pineapple and twist it in until you get close to the bottom.

After getting to the bottom of the pineapple, wiggle the slicer a little bit and pull it right out.

In our house this is usually the time for a pineapple juice break. It tastes way better coming from the source :)

Next, you take off the top of the slicer and turn it upside down to get the pineapple off.

Last, take your knife and cut into whatever size pieces you like. I make mine pretty small :)

It is seriously the easiest thing ever! If you love pineapple even half as much as I do, you should pick up one for your kitchen.

  3. I have a nifty little pineapple cutter from Pampered Chef, but if I didn't I would want to do it like this!

  4. I think this tool of yours is what was used when we were in Maui a few years ago. I love fresh pineapple, but I'm not a fan of pineapple juice. Isn't that the weirdest thing ever? It doesn't make sense to me. LOL.

    1. I really only drink pineapple juice when I am cutting a pineapple :) I've heard that it can be a great anti-inflammatory, so maybe I should start having it more often!
