DIY Tutu Easter Basket

For the past couple weeks, I have been thinking about the fact that Easter is fast approaching... But I have done nothing to prepare for it. I think we will probably be coloring our Easter eggs on Saturday night!

DIY Yarn Wrapped Letters #TBT

Happy Throwback Thursday! While I was pregnant with Olivia, I spent way too much time looking up ideas for her nursery. One of my favorite ideas that I found were yarn wrapped letters to hang on the wall. I loved the pop of color against the wall, in addition to the texture of the yarn.

DIY Ruffled Crib Skirt with Matching Window Valance

For today's Throwback Thursday post I am going to reminisce about making the ruffled crib skirt for Olivia's nursery. While planning the room, I had an extremely difficult time figuring out a color scheme or a theme. Flipping through Pinterest one day I found several super cute ruffled crib skirts that seemed like exactly what I was looking for.

I especially loved that I could use several different fabrics that would bring a few different colors into the room. Then, I looked at the prices... Whew! They are expensive! So I looked on Pinterest for DIY tutorials and found several! My two favorites, and the ones that I used for reference, were from Saleena Marie and A Little Bolt of Life.

Upcycle an Old Sweatshirt Into a Baby Wearing Cover

Our car is still in the shop. I have been very fortunate to have family that has been able to pick Gavin up from school every day for me. But, on Thursday all of my amazing peeps were busy. Luckily it was warmer than it had been earlier in the week but it was still pretty cold. Olivia has a nice, warm full body North Face coat but I always feel like the wind cuts through my Lillebaby Airflow baby carrier.

I decided to find an old sweatshirt and try to make it something that my carrier can "wear". I found a sweatshirt that I had gotten as a souvenir on a trip to Boston that never seemed to fit me right, then broke out my scissors and sewing machine!
